DT post for itsy bitsy

Hello everyone Pooja here,

I am back again with  another DT  creation of mine for itsy bitsy made with Mixed Media paste and Little Birdie's one step Crackle Medium.  This is totally an experiment for me where I worked with both products to create my background. This is also my first experience with Little Birdie's Crackle Medium, but I am totally happy with the outcome.
Have a look at what I created ....

Process:
To begin, I applied Mixed Media paste on a hard board. Before application, I diluted this paste with little bit of water.

2. Then, I used a stencil to form a pattern with the mixed media paste and you can  see how perfectly it worked. Thereafter I  painted the blank spaces, (mostly where I did not do stenciling) with Moda- burgundy paint.

3. I desperately wanted to try out the Crackle Medium, so I decided to use this first only on the part that I had painted. I applied Crackle Medium on that part  after it was a little dry. On top of it, I applied white acrylic paint and soon after,  cracks started to appear.  I was so thrilled with the results that I decided to  create the entire background with it.
For the remaining background I used Slate Mixed media paste and Chalk Paint.

4. Applied Crackle Medium after it was dry and topped it with white acrylic paint.

It looked like this after I was done with these steps....

I used different shades of spray paints (red, blue, brown, black) to coordinate with the colors of  the image at the center.
Next, I just added flowers and embellishments around my focal image and wrapped a twine as you can see in the final image. Also used Mixed Media paste on the edges and on top to create a snowy look!
Have a look

Hope you liked my creation.
Feels nice to hear from all of you, so drop me a line about how you liked it.
Thank you for being with us
